Stainless or rustproof steel - so-called stainless steel - is one of the best-known iron alloys. Its high density, good welding properties and very high corrosion resistance make it the preferred raw material in many industries such as automotive and construction.
The composition of the different alloying components of the stainless steel grades (low or high alloy) is precisely defined and specified. Often other metals are used such as chromium, nickel or titanium.
Since stainless steel is considered one of the oldest and best-known metallic materials, electroplating is naturally included in Rieger's portfolio. The surfaces chrome, nickel, copper and tin can be deposited on stainless steel. The upstream chemical processes, such as pickling, and the mechanical processes, such as grinding and polishing, are also found here.
