Pretreatment and gloss enhancement for electroplating
As an electroplated surface coater, it is important for us to provide good quality. To achieve this, it is often necessary to integrate certain pre-treatment steps into our processes. These include chemical ones such as pickling or mechanical ones such as grinding and polishing.
In mechanical pretreatment, the workpieces are processed by means of various grinding or polishing devices such as grinding blocks with round wheels. The aim of this pretreatment is to eliminate unevenness such as small pimples or scratches, thus obtaining an even structure on the workpiece. Another aspect is to increase the degree of gloss, for example in chrome plating. Here, intermediate steps are polished to increase the gloss effect.
